Anti-Semitism is at the heart of the trial of the two alleged murderers of Mireille Knoll, which begins Tuesday, October 26 before the Paris Assize Court. The octogenarian was stabbed 11 times in her home in 2018.

This trial of the two alleged murderers of Mireille Knoll, which begins Tuesday, October 26, more than three years after the crime, her son, Daniel Knoll, was impatiently awaiting it. “Can you imagine what it is like to know that your mother was stabbed to death eleven times and burned? Do you imagine that they could come out in ten or fifteen years and kill your mother or your grandmother?“, testifies Daniel Knoll in front of the entrance to the Assize Court of Paris.

On March 23, 2018, Mireille Knoll, weakened by Parkinson’s disease, was savagely killed at her home in Paris, then burned, after the attackers took the time to set her apartment on fire. Investigators arrest two men, Yacine Mihoub, a neighbor of Mireille Knoll, and Alex Carrimbacus. Both are repeat offenders. She had known one of the suspects from childhood and had unsuspectingly opened her door to him. A crime committed with an aggravating circumstance, according to the examining magistrates: anti-Semitism.
