Anti-Semitic tags were discovered on the morning of Friday November 3 in a school campus in Strasbourg (Bas-Rhin), leading to the opening of a judicial investigation, reports France Bleu Alsace. In total, half a dozen swastikas, as well as anti-Semitic inscriptions, such as “A good Jew is a dead Jew”were inscribed, mainly on a wall of the academy inspection, a few steps from an international school and an elementary school of the Council of XV.

A judicial investigation has been opened. According to France Bleu Alsace, a national police car was on the scene Friday morning for a neighborhood investigation. The police are asking anyone who has witnessed something unusual to contact their services by calling 17.

“I condemn these despicable words and actions with the greatest firmness”reacted on X (ex-Twitter) the mayor of Strasbourg, Jeanne Barseghian. “I extend all my support to the Jewish community of our city and remain mobilized, in conjunction with the State, to ensure the safety of residents. Anti-Semitism has no place in Strasbourg”she adds. “A few days before the 85th anniversary of Kristallnacht, hatred of Jews is once again on display in our streets”responded opposition MP Pierre Jakubowicz.
