Death threats and anti-Semitic and offensive tags were discovered Tuesday, December 7 in Limeil-Brévannes, in Val-de-Marne, France Bleu Paris reported on Wednesday. These inscriptions were found on a building in the Seimaroise district. Among the tags, some attacked Mayor François Lecoufle directly, threatening her with death. Garbage cans were also set on fire.

According to the municipality, the facts took place after the installation of a video surveillance mast in the municipality. Justice has been seized. For his part, the LREM deputy for Val-de-Marne, Laurent Saint-Martin, condemned on Twitter “with firmness these acts which cannot go unpunished” and supports François Lecoufle.

This is not the first time that Mayor LR has been targeted by such offensive tags. Death threats were found on the walls of buildings in the same district in 2019. The Paris police headquarters is calling for witnesses. Anyone who can bring “elements of the current investigation” are invited to contact the Territorial Security of Val-de-Marne on 01 47 18 35 00.
