Anti-homophobia associations file a complaint against Caroline Cayeux

Caroline Cayeux, Minister Delegate in charge of local authorities, is overtaken by old comments on the reform of marriage for all. On Wednesday July 13, six anti-homophobia associations filed a complaint and denounced his statements dating from 2013. Caroline Cayeux had described the reform as “caprice” and of “design against nature”. “I stand by my words. I have many friends among all these people”she said on the set of Public Senate, Tuesday, July 12.

A few hours later, Caroline Cayeux apologized on Twitter. For anti-homophobia associations, the objective of this complaint is clear. “A person of the caliber of a minister can no longer, in 2022, ten years after the passage of the law on marriage for all, say that homosexuality is an unnatural design”explained Me Étienne Deshoulières, the lawyer for the complainant associations.
