Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin was the guest of France Bleu Nord this Monday. He called on the other Nupes parties to dissociate themselves from LFI.
“In anti-cop hatred or hatred of Israel, it’s always the same strategy, it’s an electoral strategy unfortunately and [Jean-Luc Mélenchon] tries to make his electoral money on the backs of the dead”denounces the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin, guest of France Bleu Nord Monday October 9, after the triggering of a “war” between Israel and Hamas this weekend.

The minister denounces the “sometimes extremely vile rantings from Mr. Mélenchon, both about the police and, obviously, about the conflict which affected Israel and the terrorist attacks which affected Israel”.
“What is Mr. Mélenchon doing and what is La France insoumise trying to do? Everyone sees it now: talking to a certain community of people. He thinks, Mr. Mélenchon, that by speaking for example to the neighborhoods, perhaps flattering here or there what he thinks are reflexes on their part, the hatred of the cops, the hatred of Israel, he will have their votes”deplores the Minister of the Interior.
Gérald Darmanin denounces a strategy of communitarianism
Gérald Darmanin invites the other Nupes parties to distance themselves from LFI: “His Nupes comrades should dissociate themselves from this absolutely unnatural political alliance, the socialists and the Greens have nothing to do with it. It’s very good to have explanations and to make tweets, but it “It’s better to stop being Mr. Mélenchon’s accomplice.”.
According to him, LFI is pursuing a dangerous communitarian policy:
“This man [J.L Mélenchon] leads the left, or what remains of the left into the dustbin of history. The truth is that he is practicing communitarianism.

“He is trying to speak to the reflexes of a certain number of voters who he thinks are those from working-class neighborhoods. Fortunately, the vast majority of these voters do not follow him. But in anti-cop hatred or in hatred of Israel is always the same strategy, it’s an electoral strategy, unfortunately, and he’s trying to make his electoral money on the backs of the dead. And it’s really absolutely despicable, in fact, like the ‘said the Prime Minister”concludes Gérald Darmanin.
Sunday, from Bordeaux, where she attended the back-to-school campus of the presidential Renaissance party, Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne denounced the “revolting ambiguities” from the party of Jean-Luc Mélenchon, who weighed the actions of Hamas and the policies of the Israeli government. She denounced “anti-Zionism” of LFI which is “also a way of masking anti-Semitism”.
