The Disciplinary Committee of the Professional Football League (LFP) imposed, Wednesday, August 10, three firm suspension matches on the goalkeeper of Olympique Lyonnais. The latter had received a direct red card at the start of the Ligue 1 season on Friday, against Ajaccio. In question, his uncontrolled exit on Mounaïm El-Idrissy, violently hit in the face in the Lyon penalty area.

The Portuguese international (14 selections) will therefore be absent for the next three days of the championship, in Lorient on August 14, against Troyes on August 19 and in Reims on August 28. He is expected to return to competition for the game against AJ Auxerre on August 31.
