The body of a 42-year-old woman was found Friday morning in her Montreal North apartment. This would be another feminicide to occur in the metropolis, the second in the space of only eight days.
It was a relative of the victim who contacted 911 around 9:30 a.m. to report the macabre discovery, inside a residential building on boulevard Lacordaire, near the intersection of rue d’Amos.

In the early afternoon, major crime investigators and forensic identification technicians were on site to begin their investigative work and crime scene analysis.
This is the second woman to be murdered in just eight days in the metropolis.
On September 8, Gisèle Betondi, a 29-year-old mother, was stabbed to death in the borough of LaSalle. Her ex-husband was arrested and later charged with premeditated murder.
