Another beautiful day of sunshine before heavy rain showers on Thursday

The beautiful sunny weather will persist on Wednesday before the arrival of heavy rain showers and sometimes snow for the rest of the week in southern and central Quebec.

The weather scenario will be similar to that of Tuesday with sunny weather and comfortable temperatures of 12 or 13 degrees in the southern sectors of the province, from Gatineau to Estrie via Montreal and Montérégie.

In Quebec and Mauricie, even if there is sunshine, the mercury will however be down, with even an episode of wind chill in areas a little further north, such as Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean.

Environment Canada is forecasting generally sunny weather in the eastern part of the province, while temperatures will be below normal for the season, particularly in the Bas-Saint-Laurent and Gaspésie regions.

According to the forecasts of the federal agency, the sun will “eclipse” in the clouds during the next two days to give way to heavy rain Thursday and Friday, while the mercury will drop slightly.

The south of the province will thus be well watered with sometimes heavy rain showers, while the northeastern sectors will receive significant amounts of snow by the weekend with even a risk of freezing rain in the Lower region. -Saint Laurent.
