Jean-Philippe Odouardphotographer, native of Annonay and passionate about hot air ballooning, obtained his pilot’s license in 1999. He participates in around ten balloon gatherings every year throughout France and also abroad.
With a strong taste for competition, he has attended all the French Hot Air Balloon Championships since 1993. First as a visitor, then 2 years as an official observer and 5 years as on-board navigator.
Since 2002, Jean-Philippe and his team have regularly appeared in the top 10, he was ranked 5th French driver in 2012.
In August 2013, Jean-Philippe and his team won the 39th French Hot Air Balloon Championship, after 22 events over 7 flights.
In 2020, during the 40th French championships in Arc et Senans (Doubs), Jean-Philippe’s crew once again became French Champion in a hotly contested competition. All this with a new competition ball “Amazed by the Ardèche / Grotte Chauvet World Heritage”.
In 2021, he participated in the European Championship in Hungary.
