After Paris FC in the round of 16 and Olympique de Marseille in the quarter-finals, it is against Toulouse that Ligue 2 resident Annecy will play their place in the final of the Coupe de France. Following the draw made by the French handball player Elohim Prandi in “Tout le Sport”, Thursday March 2, the Annecyans will challenge Toulouse at home, while in the other match, Nantes will host Olympique Lyonnais at La Beaujoire. The semi-finals will take place on April 5, the final is scheduled for April 29 at the Stade de France.

After their historic victory on penalties on Wednesday at the Vélodrome, the teammates of goalkeeper Thomas Callens are the last representatives of the clubs outside the elite. By avoiding Lyon and defending champion Nantes, and having the advantage of receiving, Annecy increases its chances of becoming the first Ligue 2 club in the final since Auxerre in 2015.

For their part, the Nantes will have to pass over the body of an Olympique Lyonnais who fell Grenoble but is still recovering to play a second consecutive final at the Stade de France, and hope to play a new European campaign, after their recent elimination in the Europa League against Juventus Turin.
