Anne-Sophie Lapix jealous of Léa Salamé? The star of the 20 hours of France 2 restores the truth about their rivalry

Queen of the 20 hours for several years on France 2, Anne-Sophie Lapix has just made a thunderous return from vacation. With almost 5 million viewers, the Basque allowed its 8 p.m. edition to top the audience and make it the second most watched newspaper in Europe on Monday 31 October. It was on this day that the journalist also chose to speak in the columns of Society in order to respond to the rumors circulating about her relationship with Léa Salamé. Indeed, some whisper that the news presenter would not have really appreciated that her colleague was chosen in her place to animate the debate between the two rounds of the presidential election alongside Gilles Bouleau.

Anne-Sophie Lapix first of all wanted to recall that she had “not applied spontaneously” to lead this debate, while specifying that “it has always been the candidates (for the Élysée, editor’s note) who choose” the two animators. “Traditionally, it is the presenters of the 8 p.m. who animate the debate between the two rounds. Gilles Bouleau being the candidate of TF1 and given that it takes a woman and that during the previous debate, it had not been possible, there was perhaps an obviousness. It didn’t happen that way“, she said, then giving her opinion on the performance of Léa Salamé. “She did it very well. I find that it was a little hard for her to undergo this controversy because it is not a second choice“, she affirmed.

Anne-Sophie Lapix supported by her management

If rumors of the eviction of the journalist have filtered lately, the boss of France Télévisions Delphine Ernotte, wanted to give her version of the facts. “I did not read this leaflet” but “I read a poor rotten article from Here” on this subject”, she explained. “I am very happy to have Anne-Sophie Lapix at 8 p.m.“, continued the director before the Cultural Affairs Committee of the Assembly. According to her, the journalist is one of the “3 queens of France Televisions”, with Léa Salamé and Caroline Roux. “Anne-Sophie Lapix […] holds an 8 p.m. which has never been so high, we are very happy and I am very happy to have Anne-Sophie Lapix at 8 p.m.“, she added.
