Anne Hidalgo’s support committee launches its campaign with “enthusiastic” activists

It’s a new start for Anne Hidalgo’s presidential campaign. His local campaign committees officially presented themselves and put themselves in battle order at the end of last week, with the mission of relaying his campaign on the ground and presenting the PS program in detail. In Haute-Vienne, this committee is co-chaired by the president of the departmental council of Haute-Vienne Jean-Claude Leblois and by the First Federal Secretary Gulsen Yldirim. For them, the socialist has the stature to become president and they are convinced that even if it is lost in the polls, it can thwart all predictions.

Stop the “buzz”, make way for real topics

“It is high time to talk about the real issues” say in chorus the executives of the PS in Haute-Vienne, praising a “solid program”, carried by a “sincere candidate, close to the daily concerns of the French people”. Implied: quite the opposite of the others, for the campaign committee which is annoyed to see the little well-felt phrases do the buzz, to the detriment of substantive issues.

Among Anne Hidalgo’s 70 proposals, Upper Viennese activists intend to highlight four major themes. Social justice, to restore purchasing power to the low and middle classes. Health for all and public services, after a five-year term marked by a contempt for the territories according to the socialists. Education is also put forward, with the ambition to massively increase the salaries of teachers or to remove Parcoursup, for access to higher education.

Enthusiasm, despite the multitude of candidates on the left

The PS in Haute Vienne claims to have a very militant base “enthusiastic” to make these proposals. Motivation will be needed precisely to try to convince and stand out against the multitude of candidates on the left. “There are questions among voters, doubts are inevitable” recognize supporters of Anne Hidalgo. Corn all twists and turns are still possible according to them, with also a big unknown: the weight of the abstainers, which will necessarily affect the final result.
