Two teenagers, 16 and 17, were shot and wounded Thursday night in the Anjou borough of Montreal. The 16-year-old is in critical condition.
A call was made to 911 at around 7.15 p.m. for gunshots heard on Boulevard des Roseraies, near Avenue de la Nantaise. Arriving at the scene, the police located the 16-year-old teenager in a car in Place Cointerel, shot in the upper body. He was taken to hospital in critical condition.
Near there, on Boulevard des Galeries d’Anjou, the police located another 17-year-old victim with “superficially upper body”, said Jean-Pierre Brabant, spokesperson for the Police Department of the City of Montreal (SPVM). The teenager was taken to hospital, but there is no fear for his life.
There have been no arrests yet. A perimeter has been set up on Place Cointerel as well as on Boulevard des Galeries d’Anjou.
Investigators are currently on the scene to understand the circumstances surrounding the event.
