The police were called to intervene around 8 p.m., following one of the shots fired in the courtyard of the Des Roseraies school, at the corner of avenue des Jalesnes and boulevard des Galeries d’Anjou .

According to information obtained from witnesses, two people were then in the schoolyard when two suspects allegedly got out of a vehicle before approaching and firing in their direction.

Casings were found on the ground in the schoolyard and at least one bullet hole was located in a window of the building, said a spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) Caroline Chèvrefils.

No victim has come forward for the moment and the suspects, like the two people who were in the schoolyard, fled before the arrival of the police.

These protected the scene so that it could be inspected by investigators and forensic identification technicians.
