As they accuse the president of the All India Wrestling Federation of sexual harassment, two professional wrestlers have seen a photo of themselves altered to denigrate their protest movement.
A photo of Indian wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Sangeeta Phogat shows them smiling as they were arrested after a May 28 protest. They marched against the president of the Indian Federation of struggle, also a deputy of the ruling BJP party, accused of sexual harassment. The image has in fact been modified and responds to a logic of denigration also aimed at discrediting the protest movement.
