Angélique Kourounis, correspondent for Radio France in Greece, is dead

Aged 61, the journalist died following a long illness.

Journalist Angélique Kourounis died at the age of 61 following a long illness, the international editorial staff of Radio France learned on Monday May 6. Correspondent in Greece, she was a historic voice of Radio France. Angélique Kourounis began working for the branches of the public audiovisual group, including franceinfo, in 1989.

In addition to her numerous reports, on the Greek debt crisis, which had caused great uncertainty in the euro zone, at the beginning of the 2010s, or on the situation of migrants on the island of Lesbos, Angélique Kourounis had signed for the last ten two investigative documentaries on the Greek neo-Nazi party Golden Dawn, co-directed with journalist Thomas Lacobi, entitled Golden Dawn, a personal matter And Golden Dawn, everyone’s business.
