He had been spotted on the internet by DGSI agents as part of their monitoring work. On encrypted messaging, Angel B. had taken the nickname “HeinrichHimmler88”, in reference to Heinrich Himmler, the former dignitary of the Third Reich. He is a member of neo-Nazi loops on Telegram, such as “Republique Blanche de Bourgogne”, a chain that federates “the French Aryans wanting to fight for the survival of their race in Europe“.

The young man is unstable, uncomfortable in his skin, full of resentment, he found in the Nazi ideology a form of easy outlet. He feeds a hatred against the Jews, the LGBT. A search of his home led to the discovery of a Nazi flag and swastikas.

On April 22, the national anti-terrorist prosecutor’s office (Pnat) opened a preliminary investigation. After cyberinfiltration and a surveillance phase, the investigators arrested Angel B. when he had just made contact with a man holding a firearm.
