Andréa Furet (He is she) also experienced the transition: “I felt that there was this difference in me”

Monday, November 1, 2021, she will be the star of the TV movie He is she broadcast at 9 p.m. on TF1. Interviewed by The Parisian, Andréa Furet revealed how this role was a godsend for her career. And for good reason, she herself experienced a transition. Born boy, the transgender actress began her transition three years ago and now proudly asserts her transidentity: “I have been very lucky. My family, my friends, my relatives … everyone supported me. At worst, people didn’t care. They said to each other: if she is happy, this is her life, she does what she wants. But I know that unfortunately not everyone. “

When she thinks back to her childhood, the one who plays Julien and then Emma in the TV movie directed by Clément Michel remembers having always felt apart from those close to her. “I have always been that little child who asks himself questions, observes the world around him, looks at what is going on around him. I felt there was this difference in me, this singularity, but everything was not yet very clear in my head. I was content to move forward, to make my way, to continue to grow. I started to ask words about how I felt around 14 or 15 “, she explains.

During her adolescence, the 19-year-old actress was not at all a young woman in crisis or in school failure but on the contrary had a busy social life. “I had friends, I went to class, I was a good student. ”she confides.

To explain the simple acceptance of her parents, and in particular her daddy, Andréa Furet has a theory. According to her, her father always dreamed of having a daughter, without success. With this transformation, his dream finally came true. “I am the last of the siblings and I believe that when I was born, my dad was hoping for a girl. Of course he was very happy to have a third boy, but maybe he accepted my transition better because I became his only daughter.“, reveals the young woman.
