André Dussollier and Francis Huster: This legendary actress with whom they were both in a relationship

Tonight, W9 is broadcasting Étienne Chatiliez’s film, Tanguy, the return (2019) with André Dussollier and Sabine Azéma who play Paul and Edith Guetz, the parents of Tanguy, played by Éric Berger.

On the private side, André Dussollier shares a common point with another great actor: Francis Huster. In fact, they have both shared the life of a famous actress : Isabelle Adjani. The first was the companion of the 67-year-old actress in the 1970s when she was starting out, while the second also shared her life during this same period. They also played in the play The Miser by Molière in 1973. The actress was then only 18 years old. Both were at the Comédie-Française.

I loved Isabella

On the set of C to you on France 5 on September 30, 2021, Cristiana Reali’s ex had spoken openly about his affair with Isabelle Adjani: “I loved Isabelle. She had an extraordinary quality, it was that she played with her stomach, she played from there. She understood that the important thing in Molière is the silences”, had declared the one who dreamed of forming a couple on stage with the actress. Indeed, she decided to leave the theater to embrace a career on the big screen. A decision that was not without disappointing Francis Huster: I was struck down (…) I never forgave himhe confessed. There are sublime roles in the repertoire, where, precisely, she would have led the youth to enter Racine, Chimène, Phèdre, Bérénice. My artistic life is completely torn in two the moment she broke up this couple.”

The Comédie-Française was also the meeting place of André Dussollier who also maintained an affair with Isabelle Adjani. “It was at the very beginninghad entrusted the 76-year-old actor to VOD in 2016. We shared this adventure of the Comédie-Française. I was very seduced by Isabelle. We stayed two years… very close.” Subsequently, André Dussollier and Isabelle Adjani met at the César ceremony in 2005. The actress was the president.
