and now it’s his son René-Charles who gets involved!

It’s been five years since Celine Dion lost the love of her life. Since then, she has struggled to regain all her energy, and especially her pretty smile. Having become very thin, the singer “Hasn’t grieved yet and never will” says biographer Élisabeth Reynaud. She wrote a book, Celine Dion: Icon and Woman of heart, published by Larousse editions. Forty years of career always at the side of his Renée Angélil who “has instilled in him, throughout his life, the strength to take up the craziest challenges”.
Renée Angélil took care of Céline Dion, while protecting her: “he will also watch her until her last breath doing the show in Vegas, live from her bed, whispering comments in her ear”. His disappearance caused a lot of trouble for the 53-year-old singer. Unable to pursue her career on her own, Celine Dion asked her son to take over the reins. “She wanted René-Charles to take her father’s place as manager, he gave her a definite no”, explains Elisabeth Reynaud. A choice that “would have further weakened the star”.
More than thirty years back, Celine Dion also had a few little worries. But her husband was there to support her. Today, it’s all alone that she will have to “to mobilize all one’s strength” to overcome the disease. The world star cannot perform his tour due to muscle spasms. She would in fact suffer from neuropathy which causes her to “Severe burns and intense pain in the feet and hands, sensation of electric shocks going through your body, accelerated heart rate, extreme weakness…”
