and now Cyril Hanouna is being harshly criticized by Eric Dupond-Moretti!

On Friday October 14, the lifeless and tortured body of little Lola was found in a plastic trunk, near her home in the 19e district of Paris. Since then, the whole of France has been in shock. Arrested and then imprisoned in Fresnes, the suspect of this horrible crime would be a certain Dahbia B., 24 years old, then in an irregular situation on the national territory. While the parents have expressly asked that there be no political recovery around the death of their child, a demonstration bringing together the far-right parties was nevertheless held this Friday, October 21, in the presence of ‘Eric Zemmour or Florian Philippot. Invited that same evening on the set of the program “C à vous” on France 5, Eric Dupont-Moretti did not hide his deep annoyance at such an attitude: “This is not the time to settle my accounts , because I have scores to settle as a citizen with these extremists. I’m not going to do what I blame them for doing, I’m not going to use this little girl’s coffin to settle accounts with the far right, which terrifies me,” he explains to Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine. But she would like to hear it afterwards on “the media voices which demand an expeditious trial for the alleged suspect, without a lawyer, a trial which would condemn her directly to life imprisonment”.

“The rule of law protects us and also protects Mr. Hanouna.”

Fulminating, the Keeper of the Seals asks her if she is referring to Cyril Hanouna and to answer him as dryly: “I am struggling to make justice better known, to show how difficult it is to render justice. How many rules we must respect that our society has taken millennia to develop. And we sweep that away with the backhand”. And continues, visibly reassembled: “Mr. Hanouna requests an expedited trial for the alleged suspect in the murder of Lola. Is that the conception of the rule of law that we have in this country? Mr. Hanouna says ‘this is the time we live in’? Because that for me is the Middle Ages. A trial is a trial”. And to add to conclude: “The rule of law protects us and also protects Mr. Hanouna. And sweeping it like that to make audiences and ratings is something that I personally cannot accept”, concludes the Minister of Justice.
