Wine and spirits lovers will be able to revel in new readings and discoveries thanks to the launch ofExtraBrut, a new magazine versed on these subjects.
Posted at 9:00 a.m.
The publication, whose first issue just appeared this week, is co-founded by our collaborator Karyne Duplessis Piché, who notes that Quebec epicureans are often forced to turn to international oenological information sources, offered in English. For her, it was high time to blow the plug on this situation.
“Wine and spirits are more exciting than ever. New wine regions are emerging, new spirits are being created, this universe is changing. And yet, no Quebec journal is totally devoted to the subject. This situation ends now! writes the editor in this inaugural opus.
ExtraBrut will explore thematic files in depth, dissected by a host of experts, while touching on other gourmet topics over more than 70 pages. Thus, during this first issue, white wine will be examined from all angles, and readers will also be able to pick up various subjects (the return of American wines, the question of glass bottling, etc.), portraits , suggestions, etc. Everything is profusely illustrated with photographs and creations by Quebec artists.
The magazine will be distributed in hard copy 4 times a year, in 700 points of sale and on the ExtraBrut.ca website. Price: $8.99, much cheaper than a bottle of good wine.
