A film inspired by the life of Pauline Julien is in preparation. Directed by Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette, this feature film will paint an intimate portrait of the artist’s life.
A key figure in Quebec history, Pauline Julien has left her mark in music, theater and cinema, in addition to being politically involved.
The project, which benefits from the support and collaboration of the entourage of the Quebec icon and his daughter Pascale Galipeau, is a first collaboration between producer Étienne Hansez, Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette and co-screenwriter Véronique Côté.
The film will be the story of a woman, in a doctor’s office, who learns that she is losing her speech. He will be interested in what remains when we are Pauline Julien and the words leave us.
