Anaheim Ducks | Forward Justin Kirkland hospitalized after car accident

(Anaheim) Anaheim Ducks forward Justin Kirkland spent the night in the hospital after being involved in a car accident on his way to the arena to play a game against the Boston Bruins.


The team announced Monday that Kirkland remains under observation, but is still fully mobile and has contacted his family and visiting teammates.

Experts say Kirkland is expected to be discharged within the next two days.

The 26-year-old skater made his NHL debut on Dec. 20. The Nashville Predators’ third-round pick in the 2014 draft, he was hired on the free agent market last summer.

In seven games, Kirkland has yet to make the mark.
