An unpublished novel by Gabriel García Márquez in 2024

(Madrid) An unpublished novel by Gabriel García Márquez will be published in 2024 on the occasion of the 10e anniversary of the death of the Colombian writer, Nobel Prize for Literature in 1982, the publishing house Random House announced on Friday.




The new book by the author of A hundred years of loneliness and of Love in the Time of Cholera will appear “in 2024 in all Spanish-speaking countries except Mexico” and “will undoubtedly be the most important editorial event of the coming year,” the publisher said in a press release.

Entitled In agosto our vemoswhich could be translated as We will see each other in Augustthis unpublished novel is the fruit of a “last effort” of the writer to “continue to write against winds and tides”, explain his sons, Rodrigo and Gonzalo García Barcha, quoted in the press release.
