The suspect arrested in Lyon as part of the investigation into the attack on the evening of Saturday November 11 on a premises housing a conference on Palestine was indicted and placed in pre-trial detention, the Lyon prosecutor’s office at franceinfo.

“Seven people were injured” during this violence, affirmed the public prosecutor of Lyon, correcting an initial report of three minor injuries. “Their injuries resulted in total incapacity for work of 15 days for two of them and 45 days for a third”details the prosecution in its press release.

The suspect was arrested “close to the facts” in possession “a wooden baseball bat, a brass knuckle, a mouthguard” and two clamps, said the Lyon public prosecutor. “Although disputing any participation in the facts, the investigations made it possible to confirm his proximity to the ultra-right movement in Lyon”declared the prosecution.
