an SME in the stove! Inovalp at La Mure, a player in the energy transition

Yann Denanceis the managing director ofInovalpa start-up created ten years ago which today employs fifty people and which has just obtained the “Long time“.

Are you organized to obtain supplies as close as possible to your production site?

Yann Denance : We try to ensure that our subcontractors are as close as possible to us so as to have strong partnerships, to be in a circular economy approach.

During the visit I was struck by the electronics

The fact of having developed our own electronics in-house (Editor’s note: to regulate the operation of the stove) of subcontracting the manufacturing next to us, of having our design office in-house, allows us, in a context which has a great impact on electronics, to find solutions. Our subcontractor tells us “such a component, it is out of stock”, we find him a solution, we give an equivalent, he supplies it, we validate and we have our cards a few weeks late, but not six months like our competitors. So we have an economic model that is more resilient.

The general public is surprised to see an almost artisanal production for such products

We started from a very artisanal mode at the beginning. Ten years ago, we were a bit of a start-up. Today, we are an industrial SME of about fifty people with parts that are robotized on the welding or on the painting, for example.

The heating bodies

Does this allow you to guarantee your stoves more than your competitors?

The control of the design which reflects the products to be durable from the start allows us to guarantee components more than others, such as for example the heating body or the burners, guaranteed ten years from the beginning, where the standard guarantee, she is two years old.

Since the creation of the company, you always have the protection of the environment in reference?

It’s in our values at the start, it’s not what we sell, but it’s what drives us.
