Augustine R. has not given any sign of life since Tuesday evening, aged 88, this resident of Saint-Etienne-de-Tinée, suffers from Alzheimer’s disease.
She is 1.50m tall, has bobbed white hair and is “fairly frail and slender”. On the day of her disappearance, the old lady wore a blue top. She was last seen at the Saint-Etienne de Tinée service station.
An important device has been deployed to find Augustine: 30 soldiers, two helicopters as well as a dozen civilians are actively looking for her. The gendarmes are working on the scenario of a fall and are quite skeptical about their chances of finding Augustine R. alive: “Three full days without hydration for a person of this age is more than critical”.
The gendarmes recall that it is necessary to favor the use of a GPS bracelet for the elderly who can get lost.
