An octogenarian pedestrian is in critical condition after being hit by a van in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu at the end of the day.
“Around 4 p.m., this major accident occurred near boulevard du Séminaire and rue Saint-Louis. The pedestrian was then transported to the hospital”, explains to the Newspaper Constable Marie-Lou Bertrand, from the Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu Police Department.

Local police confirm that the octogenarian went to the Trauma Center at the Montreal General Hospital for serious injuries. The man is in critical condition at the moment.
An investigation is also underway to try to find out more about the circumstances of the accident involving a van.
