An 85-year-old woman lost her life Tuesday evening after being hit by a vehicle in Laval.
The accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. near rue Proulx and boulevard des Laurentides. The lady was crossing the boulevard on foot when a vehicle traveling southbound hit her.
She was taken to hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. As for the driver, the latter was treated at the scene of the accident for nervous shock, said Laval police spokesperson Stephanie Beshara.
“The accident happened in a place where there is no light or crosswalk,” said officer Beshara.
The scene has been protected to allow investigations to shed light on the circumstances surrounding this accident.
