An Occitan association delivered Christmas gifts to Bibrka, Ukraine, on December 11. They were distributed the next day to children who had lost one father, one mother or both parents. This is the 100th humanitarian aid convoy organized by the volunteers of this association.

After a long journey, an exceptional convoy arrived in Bibrka (Ukraine), a town far from the conflict zones, on December 11. In the boxes, there were thousands of toys collected by volunteers from the “Alliance Occitanie Ukraine” association. The next day, a big party was organized to distribute these gifts by Santa Claus himself. They were intended for young children who had all been orphaned by a father, a mother or both parents.

Offer a little joy for a day

In the room, there were a lot of emotions for the 14 French volunteers. “Our reward is the smiles of these children. It’s an action that was close to our hearts, for our 100th truck of humanitarian aid to Ukraine”, declared Jean-Pierre Margaill, vice-president of the association. A way to offer a little joy for a day and to see the smile on the faces of children whose lives have been marked by a war that has lasted for almost two years.
