An object flying over northern Canada monitored by NORAD

The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) monitors a high-flying object north of Canada.

The flying object in question was shot down, confirms Justin Trudeau.

“Military aircraft from Alaska and Canada are currently supporting North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) activities. NORAD confirms that we have positively identified an aerial object at high altitude in northern Canada,” authorities said in a short statement.

The exact location of the machine has still not been specified at the time of publishing these lines.

“Be aware that NORAD performs operations continuously and in a dispersed manner across its three regions in order to defend North America,” it says.
