Former basketball star Rajon Rondo was arrested Sunday afternoon in Indiana for what was initially just a routine traffic stop.
According to TMZ, we can read in Jackson County Jail records that the two-time NBA champion is facing charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and illegal possession of a firearm.
He was reportedly put behind bars around 4 p.m. and then released on bail.

Rondo is not his first run-in with the law. In 2022, a woman filed an emergency protection order against him after he attacked her and brandished a gun. The case was dropped a few weeks later.
The one who played 16 seasons in the NBA was also sued in 2020 by a woman injured during an altercation between the ex-player and his wife.
Rondo played for 10 Silver Tour teams, but mainly played for the Boston Celtics. He won his first championship with this team in 2008 and triumphed again in 2020, with the Los Angeles Lakers.
