During the question session to the government in the National Assembly, Tuesday May 28, the deputy La France insoumise (LFI) from Bouches-du-Rhône Sébastien Delogu brandished a Palestinian flag in the hemicycle.
LFI MP Alma Dufour questioned the government in the National Assembly on the situation in Gaza, Tuesday May 28. As the Minister of Foreign Trade began to respond to the elected official, Sébastien Delogu, La France insoumise (LFI) deputy for Bouches-du-Rhône, stood up and brandished a flag in the colors of Palestine, to applause of his group. An act which led to a suspension of the session.
During the suspension of the session, a heated altercation took place between the LFI deputy David Guiraud and the related Les Républicains (LR) deputy Meyer Habib. “Get the hell out of here!” said David Guiraud. “We didn’t raise pigs together, so have a little respect!”, replied the right-wing MP. “You’re the pig, you’re in the mud of genocide!” retorted David Guiraud. Sébastien Delogu was excluded for 15 days from the Assembly, as well as the withdrawal of half of his compensation.
