An investigation was opened to investigate the causes of death after the discovery of two bodies in the port of Trébeurden (Côtes-d’Armor), a few hours apart on the afternoon of Saturday February 17, announced Sunday the Saint-Brieuc prosecutor’s office. For now, “no track is privileged”specified the public prosecutor, Nicolas Heitz.

The first body is that of a 47-year-old man, who was discovered early Saturday afternoon, at a pontoon in the small port of the seaside resort of Lannion Bay. The boat belonging to this resident of Brest was found in the port. As for the second body, it is that of a 52-year-old man, spotted in the water around 5:30 p.m. Neither of the two remains contained any suspicious traces, according to Nicolas Heitz, who adds that “according to the first elements of the investigation, the two men knew each other”.

Autopsies are planned at the Rennes Forensic Institute. Toxicological analyzes were requested by the prosecution. The investigation was entrusted to the Perros-Guirec gendarmerie brigade (Côtes-d’Armor) and the Lannion research brigade (Côte-d’Armor).
