The Paris prosecutor’s office opened an investigation into armed robbery on Friday January 26 after a home-jacking that occurred Friday morning at the home of chef Jean-François Piège, franceinfo learned from the Paris prosecutor’s office.

Individuals attacked the nanny present at the chef’s home, before leaving with loot, the first estimate of which is around 150,000 euros. The nanny was tied up, Franceinfo learned, confirming information from BFM. The first judicial police district is responsible for investigations.

Jean-François Piège is chef at the Grand Restaurant, a chic establishment in the capital. Homejackings are burglaries carried out in the presence of the victims and regularly target celebrities.
