An intervention paralyzes a significant section of the orange line during rush hour

An interruption of almost an hour complicated travel on the orange line of the Montreal metro between Lionel-Groulx and Beaubien stations on Thursday morning, at a time when hundreds of its customers were looking for an alternative to get to their destination.

An intervention by emergency medical services was the cause of this metro interruption announced at 7:51 a.m. on an X account (formerly Twitter) of the Société de transport de Montréal.

The STM deployed a “special” shuttle service between the Berri-UQAM and Beaubien stations to accommodate users during this setback.

The Lionel-Groulx station serves several users in the Saint-Henri district, in the Sud-Ouest borough, but also several bus lines in the West Island.

For trips to the city center, the Company advised travelers to use the green line.
