Simplifying the daily lives of users and caregivers is the idea of Alyzée, an innovative chair that helps everyone who has difficulty getting up and sitting down: the elderly, people with disabilities, obesity, those subject to long-term illness, rehabilitation, etc.
Alyzée allows elderly people to maintain their autonomy for as long as possible by continuing to get up in complete safety at home or in an institution: the Alyzée chair halves the force needed to stand up, it mobilizes the muscles and fights against sedentary lifestyle and falls.
This chair was designed in collaboration with Sup’Microtech engineers and researchers from the University of Belfort-Montbéliard.
There is an installation for lifting and sitting down, which are secured by activating the brakes and an anti-fall covering integrated into the seat, the format is suitable for all accommodations, even the narrowest. The chair allows you to move around without forcing, for example to go to the table, thanks to the 4 casters. It can also be used as a walker, making it easier to move around.
Purchasers can benefit from APA and PCH support of up to 500 euros, subject to eligibility.
Two friends, Clément and Yannis, met at the Lycée Militaire d’Autun and were confronted with the difficulties of their respective grandparents and the need to accompany them every day.
Clément’s grandfather suffered from Parkinson’s and saw his physical health decline. His grandmother was damaging her health by helping him get up and sit down all day long, to get dressed, eat, wash himself… Clément’s family had to call on a caregiver at home: Alyzée.
Clément and Yannis created their company, Upper, in 2023 to revolutionize home autonomy.
