An inmate injured in the fire in a cell in Poissy prison

The Yvelines firefighters were called, this Friday, December 24 at around 10 p.m., for a fire in a prison cell Poissy power station. On their arrival, the fire had been extinguished by prison staff.

One 46-year-old inmate was lightly burned to the hands and transported to the Poissy hospital. Four prison officers were poisoned by smoke and one of them was also taken to Poissy hospital.

Despite the extinction of the fire, a fifty firefighters stayed on site until 2 a.m. to carry out the ventilation Locals.
