The lifeless body of a person was discovered in a residence in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu on Sunday. The police are treating the case as a suspicious death.
Around 9:15 a.m., officers from the Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu Police Department went inside a house, where a body was located.
The person was pronounced dead in a hospital.
A viewer sent TVA Nouvelles an image showing an individual being apprehended by the police, very close to the place where the macabre discovery was made, on avenue des Pins, in the Saint-Luc sector.
A section of the road is currently closed to traffic.
For the moment, the sex of the victim is not specified. An investigation has been opened.
