The 13 Hours takes you on a discovery of a tribute to Jean Gabin with an exhibition event that begins in Boulogne-Billancourt (Hauts-de-Seine). This is a retrospective on his beginnings, his roles and his legendary lines.

From the patriarch of the 70s to the roles of gangsters, everyone has their favorite Gabin. “My favorite Gabin is the young man of the 1930s”admits a woman. “The way he addresses women, he has a sweetness”, enjoy another. Same intonation and stature, Mathias Moncorgé is the son of Jean Gabin. “Dad was very simple, he put on a shell so that we wouldn’t really bother him, but dad was shy, he was afraid of disturbing”he says.

Between the roles in the cinema and the family scenes takes shape a Jean Gabin without sequins who did not take himself for a star. Honesty and respect for each person was important to him. Its sobriety is its trademark. In 95 films, he never makes a gesture too much, his gaze is enough. “He knows that the less you do in front of the camera, the better”says Patrick Glâtre, curator of the exhibition.
