The activities of the Jean Coutu and Brunet pharmacy network are currently affected by an outage.
“There is indeed a breakdown right now due to equipment failure affecting our pharmacy networks,” confirmed the head of communications for Metro’s pharmacy division, Catherine Latendresse, to The Canadian Press.
She specifies that the breakage does not however disrupt the services of the Metro food stores. The company did not yet have further details on the situation.
A pharmacist employed in a Jean Coutu in Montreal told The Canadian Press that the branch where she works had to close. The lab software, cash register and telephone systems were not working by late morning.
On Twitter, Internet users testified that the outage would prevent the preparation of orders for medicines, also on the website and the application of the banner.
