The departments concerned are: Bas-Rhin, Haut-Rhin, Moselle, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Aisne, Nord, Oise, Pas-de-Calais, Somme, Hauts-de-France, Paris, Seine-et-Marne, Yvelines , Essonne, Seine-Saint-Denis, Val-de-Marne, Vaucluse, Bouches-du-Rhône and the Rhône valley in Drôme.

The Vaucluse and Bouches-du-Rhône prefectures and the Paris police headquarters have taken measures to preserve air quality. Maximum speeds from 90 km/h will be lowered by 20 km/h. Maintenance work is also suspended: it is forbidden to pass the mower, burn waste, use white spirit or paint.

These prefectures also advise in their decrees to limit the use of the car as much as possible, to limit intense physical and sporting activities outside. It is also recommended that vulnerable people give priority to “the shortest outings, those that require the least effort and to avoid going out in the afternoon”.
