An ENT doctor from Pau (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) was indicted for sexual assault on a minor, according to information from France Bleu Béarn Bigorre this Saturday. This 65-year-old man is suspected of sexually touching a 14-year-old boy. The prosecution told France Bleu Béarn Bigorre that the doctor was arrested and placed in police custody on Thursday morning.
According to the teenager’s lawyer, the facts took place during a consultation at the doctor’s office, in the city center of Pau. “It was to check for a hearing problem and that’s when, it seems, the practitioner took him to a room isolated from his mother”detailed Me Thierry Sagardoytho.
The lawyer assured that at the end of this examination, the suspect “would have touched his person on his private parts”. He said that psychological and physical examinations were carried out with the teenager. “The story he denounces seems completely coherent and there is traumatic suffering directly linked to these facts”added Me Thierry Sagardoytho.
