It is on the day of the hundredth anniversary of the birth of Charles Aznavour that the producers and directors of the film dedicated to him have chosen to share the first images. It has been more than a year since we knew that actor Tahar Rahim would play the singer in a film directed by Mehdi Idir and Grand Corps Malade. And yet, we will still have to wait before seeing him in the guise of the Franco-Armenian singer who died on October 1, 2018. The teaser plays out the suspense from the first to the last second…
Indeed, in the brief trailer shared in particular by Pathé and Grand Corps Malade, we see Aznavour as a child. But regarding Aznavour as an adult, we see him from behind, we see his silhouette, we see him in the shadows, we can see him in profile… but not Charles Aznavour played by Tahar Rahim from the front! Patience, therefore… The film Mr Aznavour, which relates “the rise of a legend”, can we read on the teaser, will be released on October 23, 2024. Other actors in the cast include Bastien Bouillon and Marie-Julie Baup.
