The G7 summit opened in Germany on Sunday June 26. The leaders of the seven countries have agreed on a new sanction against the Kremlin: an embargo on Russian gold.
The first meeting of the G7 took place in Bavaria (Germany)Sunday, June 26. The United Kingdom, Canada, the United States and Japan have already announced that they are extending sanctions against Russia, in particular on the import of Russian gold. France, Italy and Germany, the three other members of the G7, will join this embargo. The war in Ukraine and its repercussions will occupy a large part of the discussions, until Tuesday 28 June.
The first interviews were devoted this Sunday to the global economic turbulence: the threats of food shortages, galloping inflation or even the energy crisis. Joe Bidenthe US President, also announced a vast G7 investment program for developing countries. For his part, Boris Johnson, the British Prime Minister, show interested by the French project for a European political community, which would make it possible to reengage the United Kingdom in Europe, after Brexit.
