An electrical incident on the electricity transmission network (RTE) impacted the Bordeaux metropolis this Sunday morning, 8:30 a.m. Nearly 120,000 households were affected. Power was restored everywhere around 11 a.m.
A disrupted Sunday morning for the people of Bordeaux: a breakdown in the electricity transmission network (RTE) impacted the Bordeaux metropolis in several sectors on the right bank, Sainte-Eulalie, Latresne, Cenon and the left bank, in Bordeaux and Bègles.
In question, according to RTE, “an electrical incident which led to the security of the network in part of the metropolis“, around 8:30 a.m. A situation which impacted nearly 120,000 households this morning.
At the time of publishing these lines, no further explanation has been provided from the network manager who now indicates that “Power returned to the entire area.“
On social networks, testimonies from Internet users reported more or less long outages at their homes. Public transport is also strongly impacted by the incident. Several traffic lights were cut.
