The earth shook in the Pays de Savoie this Saturday. The tremor, accompanied by a dull noise, was felt from Chambéry to Annecy.
Testimonials are multiplying on social networks. Many Internet users report an earthquake felt on Saturday March 12 in a large part of the Pays de Savoie, and particularly in Annecy.
Several tremors were detected, the most powerful of which at 6:03 p.m. accompanied by a dull noise. Its magnitude would be about 4.2 on the Richter scale and the epicenter would be located not far from Albertville (Savoie), according to the Swiss seismological service.
Firefighters say they have received several calls about it but no damage has been reported. No less than ten tremors, of more or less high magnitudes, were recorded in Savoie and Haute-Savoie this Saturday.
