An artist unveils a giant fresco at the foot of Mont Blanc

The French artist Saype, known worldwide for his monumental frescoes, invites us to “contemplate nature” with his latest work produced at an altitude of more than 2000 meters, at the foot of Mont Blanc, on the Italian side.

“We are still in a grandiose environment. So for me, it works really well. Afterwards, physically and logistically, it’s much more complicated, because you have to imagine that I’m painting on a slope, says the artist. We don’t really realize it but it’s still really steep and so for me, technically it’s super complicated. »

“The particularity of this work is that I didn’t touch anything, we didn’t cut a blade of grass, didn’t move a pebble, so I really came to set myself up in such a way as to move as little as possible. environment,” he added.
