An armed attack causes an injury in Saint-Michel

A 19-year-old man was reportedly injured in an armed attack overnight from Friday to Saturday. A fight that allegedly broke out in the Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough was the cause of the event.

At around 3:45 a.m., authorities received a call about a dispute that allegedly escalated between various individuals. Once on the scene, they immediately assisted the young man injured on the upper body, possibly by stabbing, according to information from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).

The assault occurred near the intersection of boulevard Crémazie and 13e Avenue, in the Saint-Michel area.

The victim was taken care of by paramedics and then transported to a hospital. The SPVM confirmed that there was no fear for his life.

The reasons behind the aggression are still unknown. A crime scene has been established so that SPVM investigators can understand the causes and circumstances of the event.
